ETB Acrylic Case Guide: How to Choose One for Your Elite Trainer Boxes

An Elite Trainer Box is one of the most displayed pieces of sealed Pokémon TCG product, and its cardboard corners are also among the first things to show wear. An ETB acrylic case keeps the box sealed, visible and off the dust. Here is what actually matters when you pick one.

1. Fit: standard and Pokémon Center ETBs

Pokémon Center ETBs use a slightly different box design from regular ETBs (Bulbapedia), so check that a case is sized for both if you collect both. The Slab Bunker ETB Acrylic Case is sized for current era Pokémon Elite Trainer Boxes and fits standard and Pokémon Center ETBs.

Older ETBs from earlier eras may differ in size. If you are casing a vintage box, compare its measurements against the case listing before you buy.

2. Room for the shrink wrap

A sealed ETB is only as good as its wrap. A case that is too tight drags on the film every time you slide the box in or out. Look for a fit that is snug without scraping. Our ETB case is designed so the box slides in and out without snagging the shrink wrap.

3. How the lid closes

Screw-top and snap-fit lids work, but magnetic lids are the easiest to open for a quick look. Slab Bunker lids use N52 magnets, strong enough that the lid holds when the case is turned upside down.

4. Stacking and shelf display

If your collection grows sideways and up, you want flat tops. Slab Bunker cases have a flat top so they stack cleanly on a shelf, and every case in the range shares the same look, so ETBs, bundles and booster boxes sit together neatly.

5. Clarity

The whole point of a display case is seeing the art. Choose crystal clear acrylic and keep it clean with a soft microfiber cloth rather than paper towels, which can leave fine scratches.

Quick checklist

  • Sized for your ETB type (standard, Pokémon Center, or both)
  • Slides in without catching the wrap
  • Secure lid that is easy to open
  • Flat top for stacking
  • Clear enough to show off the box art
